Let’s practice safe self-care together

Did you know Harriet Tubman was a fearless black woman who walked to freedom then selflessly went back to free others? It was a way of life’s survival for her. If during such a cruel time in history she could be so brave to save herself, why not do what you need to save yourself?

Begin saving yourself with self-care that extends your life. A simple act of 30 minutes of exercise 5 of 7 days out of the week can begin this process. Walking gives you time to clear your mind “mental health” if you increase your heart rate while walking then “physical health” may be achieved and afterwards your feeling of accomplishment just makes your soul feel good. Mind, Body, and Soul health just from a walk.

I spoke about walking as an example, however running, hiking, cycling, dancing, swimming, a good flag football or basketball game could give you some of the same after affects.

I walk & run with women to encourage them to practice self care.  I scout out locations to guide hikes in my state.  My fiance and I decided in 2019 we will run half marathons in all 50 states of America.  I continue to support my youngest daughter in her track career.  My oldest daughter played basketball second daughter power lifted weights & bowled, my son played baseball & football and my youngest is a sprinter.  Now I'm working on my healthier life while encouraging others.
